El modelo contempla las ecuaciones fundamentales que gobiernan los procesos de transferencia de calor y masa que en ellos tienen lugar. El modelo num\u00e9rico sirve para plantear diferentes soluciones geom\u00e9tricas y realizar estudios par\u00e1m\u00e9tricos en funciones de las variables fundamentales del problema: velocidad del aire de entrada, flujo m\u00e1sico de agua, longitud h\u00fameda, eficiencia y uniformidad del enfriamiento, etc.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243; Todas ellas fueron generadas con ANSYS MESHING. Se estudiaron las temperaturas predichas por el modelo en los planos de medici\u00f3n (5 puntos). El m\u00e1ximo error en la soluci\u00f3n de malla empleada finalmente para estas magnitudes es 0,267%. Este peque\u00f1o valor muestra una dependencia insignificante de los resultados en el tama\u00f1o de la malla. La malla seleccionada no es estructurada y tiene 770317 celdas poli\u00e9dricas. Esta ser\u00e1 la misma para todos los c\u00e1lculos. Se emple\u00f3 el algoritmo SIMPLE para resolver el acoplamiento entre las ecuaciones de continuidad y cantidad de movimiento a trav\u00e9s de la presi\u00f3n. Todos los c\u00e1lculos se realizaron usando discretizaci\u00f3n proporcionando una precisi\u00f3n de segundo orden. Se realizaron un total de 12 ensayos, en los que se modificaron dos variables: el n\u00famero y distribuci\u00f3n de los atomizadores y la velocidad de entrada del aire. A modo de ejemplo, la configuraci\u00f3n denominada como 5 x 5 se refiere a una distribuci\u00f3n donde se encuentran activos los atomizadores ultras\u00f3nicos de 5 filas (los atomizadores de una columna funcionan de forma simult\u00e1nea). El resto de configuraciones se eligen activando s\u00f3lo 1 \u00f3 3 de las filas respectivamente, siempre respetando que todos los atomizadores est\u00e9n ubicados en un cuadrado de 0,35 x 0,35 m^2 en el centro de la secci\u00f3n de entrada. En esta secci\u00f3n se presenta la validaci\u00f3n de 6 de los 12 casos. Las desviaciones medias est\u00e1n en torno a \u00b11,2\u00baC y \u00b10,7 gv\/kgah. Estos resultados corresponden a diferencias medias entre los resultados num\u00e9ricos y experimentales del 4,6% y 5,7%, respectivamente. Sin embargo, esta magnitud no es capaz de representar ciertos efectos locales. Por ejemplo, podr\u00eda haber \u00e1reas donde el aire se enfr\u00ede por debajo de la temperatura promedio establecida por la eficiencia evaporativa y otras donde est\u00e9 por encima. Para tener en cuenta la uniformidad de los contornos de temperaturas en diferentes secciones transversales del t\u00fanel, se defini\u00f3 la variable A<sub>T<\/sub><sup>x<\/sup>, que representa la porci\u00f3n del \u00e1rea transversal total del t\u00fanel donde la temperatura es menor que esa temperatura espec\u00edfica (T) a una distancia de la entrada espec\u00edfica (x). Por ejemplo, A<sub>25\u00baC<\/sub><sup>L<\/sup> = 1 significa que toda el \u00e1rea en la salida del dominio (x=L) est\u00e1 por debajo de los 25\u00baC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">En ese sentido, la Figura muestra la variaci\u00f3n de A<sub>T<\/sub><sup>L<\/sup> en funci\u00f3n de la temperatura del aire para un caso representativo con el sistema de atomizadores de ultras\u00f3nicos y otro de condiciones similares con el nebulizador ultras\u00f3nico definido en Ruiz et al. (2020). Con el prop\u00f3sito de describir los resultados relacionados con esta magnitud, se ha adoptado la siguiente nomenclatura. Una curva de forma c\u00f3ncava se define cada vez que A<sub>T<\/sub><sup>L<\/sup> cae dr\u00e1sticamente para temperaturas del aire relativamente altas, ~25\u00baC (obs\u00e9rvese que T<sub>\u221e<\/sub> = 25\u00baC). Esto significa que el \u00e1rea enfriada se concentra en una peque\u00f1a porci\u00f3n del \u00e1rea transversal total. Como se puede observar, el sistema de atomizadores ultras\u00f3nicos permite una mayor versatilidad, ya que se puede distribuir uniformemente en la secci\u00f3n de entrada y esto se refleja en un penacho m\u00e1s uniforme. La longitud h\u00fameda es la distancia desde la secci\u00f3n de inyecci\u00f3n de gotas hasta que las gotas de agua se evaporan por completo. Este fen\u00f3meno puede causar corrosi\u00f3n y ensuciamiento en los haces de tubos del intercambiador de calor del condensador si la corriente de aire transporta gotas de agua que no se han evaporado completamente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">La longitud h\u00fameda (o su forma adimensional, <em>L<sub>w<\/sub><\/em>\/<em>L<\/em>) es mayor que la unidad (existen gotas sin evaporar en la secci\u00f3n de salida del t\u00fanel) para la mayor\u00eda de los casos simulados a medida que aumenta la ratio de flujos agua-aire. S\u00f3lo para aquellos casos donde la ratio de flujos agua-aire es peque\u00f1a, su valor es inferior a la unidad. Estos resultados se muestran en la Figura. El comportamiento descrito anteriormente es l\u00f3gico, ya que aumentar la ratio de flujos agua-aire para una misma velocidad media en el t\u00fanel implica que el gasto m\u00e1sico de agua aumenta. Por otro lado, como era de esperar, valores bajos de humedad reducen la longitud h\u00fameda, ya que la fuerza motriz para la evaporaci\u00f3n es mayor.
